Followed a technicoloured debut on Drumcode last autumn, Konstantin Sibold reinforces his range with a stunning maiden Truesoul offering, ‘Afrasia’.
The German producer’s diverse sound characterises his lengthy discography stretching back 15 years. From classics such as ‘Mutter’ on Running Back, to ‘Madeline’, his 2013 gem on Innvervisions, the artist has a special touch in the studio, crafting memorable melody-driven tracks that never skimp on propulsive qualities. November’s debut on Drumcode ‘Lost in Space’ was a certified beast and thrilling example of his creative prowess.
‘Afraisa’ is similarly elite, building a rapid following thanks to inclusions in Adam Beyer’s sets at Ants in Mexico and Studio Club Malaga, which became Drumcode Radio episodes. Driven by a divine melody, emotive pads and a crisp bottom end, this is another standout addition to his discography.
Konstantin also released this year a ‘Day ‘N’ Night’ remix, the classic anthem by Kid Cudi, with Adam Sellouk. Sibold and Sellouk’s signature sounds embellish the track, breathing new life into it. Moreover, the melodic spin adds depth and darkness to the track. ‘Day ‘N’ Night’ also counts with magical acid elements and new galloping kicks that change up the tempo and flow with new textures. Those recent releases make everyone really look forward to the rest of the year for the German producer.
