James Hype Turns Technical Error at Project Glow into Impromptu B2B with Fiancé Tita Lau

DJ and producer James Hype this year faced a big technical error at Project Glow where he wasn’t able to play his planned performance. Right before his set, it became apparent that the festival did not have the decks that James requested on his rider. When life throws curveballs at you, that’s where you throw one back and that’s exactly what James did. His fiance, Tita Lau was at the festival and not booked to perform, but they did a impromptu b2b set at the mainstage to turn a potential disaster into a memorable moment.

As James shared on his socials:

“Thank you DC. We turned a tech error from the festival into something we very rarely do and this was wild in the end.
B2B with my fiancée on the main stage, Tita wasn’t booked to play but sometimes right place, right time works out.
I’m anticipating 1000 comments saying “a DJ should be able to play on anything” and yes. They should. And we can. Which is why this turned out to be dope! The music that I planned and I wanted to perform from however, required the specific equipment that is on my rider! When life throws a curve ball, react, adapt and still give.”
