Axel Haube

Belgian producer Axel Haube has released his mesmerizing debut on Adam Beyer’s esteemed Truesoul label. The track combines Chicago house with the wide-open spaces of modern techno. “Rushing,” which features the legendary Robert Owens, is a gateway to the very core of dance music, paying tribute to its roots while taking fans to uncharted cosmic realms.

The collaboration is a strong coming together of underground forces. Haube’s signature darkly driving grooves and seductive, trance-influenced synth work create the perfect atmosphere for Owens’ famous vocals, which helped start a movement and still resonate through decades of electronic music evolution.

Rushing” builds up like a ritualistic journey, with complex techno percussion and breakbeat parts weaving together to make a hypnotic base. On top of this rhythmic tapestry, Haube’s continuous melodic synths shimmer and pulse, building tension and releasing it perfectly in time with Owens’s powerful yet deeply sensual voice.

During the transcendent breaks of the track, plucked string patterns create moments of ethereal suspension that let Owens’ controlled yet ecstatic vocals take center stage. “Tears” and “I’ll Be Your Friend” are just a few of the classic songs that use his voice. It adds a spiritual quality to the music, turning a dance track into something that sounds like holy ground.

Haube’s career is on the rise, and this release is a big step forward. His appearance on Truesoul is a sign of respect from the top techno artists, having already wowed crowds at prestigious events like Tomorrowland’s Afterlife Stage and Circoloco Belgium while building his multidimensional We Are brand that includes fashion and events.

I’m super happy we found the right home for our track!” Haube shares with great excitement, saying that this valuable piece of sound history has been carefully kept in his personal collection for about three years. “Felt now is the right time to release it,” he adds. This was an intuitive choice that shows the producer’s artistic care and sense of what works best.
