What’s the best advice you’ve ever received as an artist?
“Stay true to yourself.” That’s something I always carry with me. The music industry can be filled with external pressures, but it’s crucial to follow your own path. Authenticity will always stand out.
How do you handle creative blocks or times when you’re feeling uninspired?
I find inspiration in everyday life—whether it’s a trip to a new place, a conversation, or just a quiet moment. When I feel blocked, I take a step back from the studio and let my mind wander. Sometimes the best ideas come when you stop forcing them.
What’s the process for developing your unique sound and keeping it evolving?
I experiment with different genres and elements—whether it’s world music, techno, or house—and incorporate what resonates with me. I try to evolve by pushing the boundaries of what I’ve done before while staying grounded in my cultural influences.
How do you engage with fans after your performances or releases?
I love engaging with fans through social media and in person. After performances, I always make time to connect with people, whether it’s through a quick chat or a photo. I value their feedback and always try to show appreciation for their support.
What’s something people might be surprised to know about you?
I’m very hands-on with all aspects of my music, including mixing and mastering. A lot of people don’t realise how involved I am in every detail of the production process, but it’s important to me that the final product reflects my vision.
If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to perform in places like Africa or South America, where the music culture is deeply rooted in rhythm and storytelling. I think the energy in those places would be incredible to experience.
