Joseph Capriati has officially returned with his first solo single since 2020, unveiling ‘Meandri’ via Global Underground. The track serves as an electrifying preview of what’s to come from Capriati, who is set to helm the next installment of the legendary mix series with GU47: Montreal, dropping on March 21st.

Global Underground’s Founder, Andy Horsfield, described ‘Meandri’ as a “spine-tinglingly, hypnotic techno monster,” a sentiment that perfectly encapsulates the track’s dark and entrancing energy. Known for his ability to seamlessly blend deep, driving rhythms with intricate layers of sound, Capriati delivers a masterful piece that builds tension with pulsating basslines, immersive textures, and a relentless groove designed for late-night dance floors.

Capriati’s involvement with GU47: Montreal is a testament to his standing in the global electronic music scene. With nearly two decades of experience as a touring DJ, he continues to showcase his ability to transcend genres with an ambitious, two-disc musical odyssey. CD1, titled ‘Bright Disc’, focuses on his refined house music selection, delivering warm grooves and uplifting rhythms. This disc highlights his ability to craft immersive, soulful experiences that tap into the deeper and more melodic elements of dance music. Featured artists on Bright Disc include KiNK, Solomun, Louie Vega, Âme, and Fear-E, all of whom contribute to the smooth, groove-driven atmosphere of the mix.

CD2, ‘Obscure Disc’, dives into the darker and more intense realms of techno, a genre Capriati has become synonymous with over the years. This mix is where the Metamorfosi boss truly shines, bringing his signature high-energy, hypnotic techno to life. With a pulsating selection of tracks from Indira Paganotto, Len Faki, Julieta Kopp, Oscar Mulero, and Capriati himself, Obscure Disc captures the relentless power of underground dance floors, making it a must-listen for techno purists.

Capriati’s latest offering, ‘Meandri’, stands as a bold declaration of his continued evolution.
