Hook, an AI-powered music platform, has raised $3.5 million from Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew, Khosla Ventures, The Raine Group, and others. This brings Hook’s total funding to $6 million, fueling its mission to provide a solution for unlicensed remixes and give users the ability to legally remix and monetize music.

How Hook Is Changing the Music Industry

Hook solves the problem of unlicensed music remixes online. With 40% of music consumed through user-generated content, Hook allows creators to legally remix and profit from music. The platform ensures artists and rights holders maintain control and get paid. Hook has secured partnerships with 16 major music entities, including Justin Bieber, Swae Lee, and Ty Dolla $ign, offering access to music from over 1,200 artists, and helping creators monetize their passion.

Timeline of Partnerships and Future Plans

Since its launch, Hook has built partnerships with key music rights holders, including Downtown Music and Glassnote Records. In 2023, Hook raised $3 million in seed funding, followed by $3.5 million in 2024. The company launched its remix app for Apple devices in September 2023. The new funding will most likely accelerate marketing efforts and expand Hook’s user base.
