A pioneering icon of the underground, Bushwacka! presents a two-track release on DFTD, ‘What You Want / I Dream Of You’. Bushwacka!’s impact on the scene is still felt to this day; together with fellow British producer Layo Paskin, the pair helped to shape the sound of UK house, techno and acid by delivering genre-crossing electronic music approaching the new millennium.
His output remains as cutting edge after 30 years in the biz, recently landing on cult NYC label Nu Groove with four-track EP ‘Back To The Underground’ as well as Luke Solomon’s Classic imprint with ‘Sunday School’. DFTD is proud to unveil ‘What You Want / I Dream Of You’, a two-track collection of damagers that demonstrate the work of an innovator; ‘What You Want’ firmly delivers a metropolitan cool, voyaging through different moods and eras thanks to intricate percussion choices, while ‘I Dream Of You’ is more understated in its approach, building with quiet intensity and hazy complexity.
