Diamante Blackmon, better known as GORDO and formerly known as Carnage, has released the tracklist for his highly anticipated album, DIAMANTE, which will be released on July 26th via Ultra Records.
“DIAMANTE” is finally out after years of working with and producing for big names like Drake, Bad Bunny, Nicki Minaj, El Alfa, Migos, Lil Yachty, the late Mac Miller, The Martinez Brothers, and Rema.
It will set the sound agenda for nightlife around the world with his albums and DJ sets. Over 20.000 hours of careful work went into making the record, which brought together artists like Drake, Fuerza Regida, Leon Bridges, Rampa, and Maluma to push the limits of music and connect different genres.
What do I do now? – GORDO reflects on what has occupied most of his days over the past four years, aside from sleeping or performing in front of crowds around the world. – I’m so proud of how ‘DIAMANTE’ turned out. At this point, there’s nothing I would change; I guess that’s why it took four years—to ensure I could look at it and know it’s perfect,” he says about the 16-track body of work releasing this Friday. “It’s the most emotional project I’ve worked on in my life. It features work from artists I’ve looked up to and those who inspire me, some I’ve known for years and others I’ve met more recently.
“DIAMANTE,” as the name suggests, is Blackmon’s most personal project to date.
It’s a tribute to GORDO’s family, friends, and loved ones, and it lets fans join him on his own journey to freedom as he reconnects with his Nicaraguan-American roots.
The album mixes electronic dance music with music from many different genres, including Dance, Hip Hop, Pop, Reggaeton, Indie, and Jazz.
It has both well-known and up-and-coming acts from these areas, creating what can only be called a musical evolution.
DIAMANTE tracklist

When you look at the tracklist for “DIAMANTE,” it’s clear that GORDO likes and is committed to the story of a well-rounded full-length project.
The Nicaraguan-American producer teams up with &ME for the surprisingly thoughtful first track, “Guard Down.”
The voice is from this super-talented girl I met, Alice Aera. I love playing with the pitch of vocals; you’ll notice that throughout the album. The different pitches in Alice’s voice even come together at one point on ‘Guard Down’ – GORDO.
Recently, Keinemusik teased GORDO during their show at Brooklyn Mirage in New York, and GORDO himself during shows across Europe.
Now, GORDO finally reveals that the hottest dance music secret ID is a song he made with longtime friend Drake called “Sideways.” The two have worked together on many projects before.
GORDO produced six tracks on Drake‘s house-inspired album “Honestly, Nevermind” and two tracks on the Canadian artist’s “For All The Dogs” record, including “Rich Baby Daddy.”
We’ve been friends for years but had never actually properly collaborated on music before ‘Honestly, Nevermind.’ To have him on my debut album speaks volumes about what people can expect on it – says GORDO about his first official collaboration with Drake.
This flows smoothly into “Honeyland” (feat. Afshin Momadi), a beautiful melodic Afro-house track that slowly moves the energy to the dancing.
The tease of “Easier” with Rampa during GORDO’s performance at Hï Ibiza brings the song even closer to the dancefloor and shows off GORDO’s creative confidence by letting him break the rules.
The artists in GORDO’s album DIAMANTE
“DIAMANTE” has a great list of collaborations, but it still has the flow and excitement that fans expect from a personalized artist record. A-list artists aren’t just on the album because GORDO wanted them to be there; they fit in perfectly with his concept for the album. The show “Target” is all about T-Pain.
It’s funny… This collaboration actually started a long time ago because T-Pain owed some people verses, including me. ‘Target’ took on many forms before finally reaching the version you’ll hear on Friday – GORDO.
The Californian rapper Larry June is featured on GORDO’s recent tracks, and “Lake Como” has a subtle but powerful effect on a dance album. “Candid Zone,” on the other hand, shows off a new trick in GORDO’s musical bag by using the soulful vocals of Leon Bridges to find the perfect balance between R&B, house, and summer Latin flair.
Fuerza Regida’s “NENE” was added to the record at the last minute. This high-energy collaboration between GORDO and the Mexican American powerhouse was finished just a week before the album came out. It is the first of four Latin-American duets on the “DIAMANTE.”
Nicki Nicole’s Argentinian style and Sech’s obvious reggaeton swagger come together in “Cafecito.” This official summer anthem really shows GORDO in his element, blending his Hispanic background and an all-Latin American team with his global club sound with ease.
“Parcera,” which features the global superstar Maluma, takes people back to the summer of 2023 when the duo performed it for the first time at GORDO’s Tomorrowland Belgium Mainstage show. Over 100 million people have watched clips of the show, making it the most popular moment in Tomorrowland history.
The hypnotic song “Hombres y Mujeres,” which features the Colombian singer Feid, is the last of the album’s four songs that honor GORDO’s Hispanic roots.
With more than 70 million streams, the song became a huge hit in Latin America and Spain before GORDO’s biggest South American DJ tour ever, which took place from December 2023 to March 2024 and took him to 25 cities in 15 countries.
GORDO makes a busy house banger called “Kill For This Shit” with lyrics from the late Young Dolph. The track has bursting basslines and upbeat percussion that give the Memphis rap anthem more dancefloor energy.
Like GORDO’s live shows, the second half of “DIAMANTE” builds to a bold peak that shows why many people think of him as modern clubbing royalty. All of this comes to a head when the needle drops on “Take Control” and “WDYM” (featuring Karolina Falk). Both songs are ready for festival main stages all over the world and show off the highly praised producer’s skillful and subtle production.
“Aura,” which features NTO, is the last song on the record. The track, which was named after his grandmother, is a new kind of GORDO. It promises to win people over with its dancing melodies, melodic techno beats, and beautifully shimmering synthwork.
What we can expect from DIAMANTE
My grandmother is my best friend. During the pandemic, I moved to Hawaii with her, and for most of that time, it was just the two of us. This was when GORDO came to life and when I began working on most of the songs on the album. Each and every song on ‘DIAMANTE’ received her seal of approval. She’s such an inspiration to me, especially in the way she took care of her family during so many difficult times. That’s why I’m dedicating this album to her, my family, friends, and loved ones. – GORDO
GORDO’s first record, “DIAMANTE,” comes out in just a few days.
It will solidify his place in the music world and give fans a chance to get to know the man behind the decks even better.
The record has a lot of collaborations with famous artists, but it also gives fans a unique chance to see GORDO in the middle of his creative process, which creates a unique sound journey that can only be called “DIAMANTE.”
