AMÉMÉ's distinctive Afro-house sound will be spicing up club dancefloors and festival crowds all summer long after he released a new EP.
The EDM.com Class of 2023 alum has landed on Chris Lake's label, Black Book Records with the sultry project, Atalakou / Torero. Spirited, magnetic and soulful, each of its two tracks forge a dynamic duet that fuses tribal elements with rhythmic beats.
In "Atalakou," airy vocal chants compliment driving drums and hypnotic melodies to infuse a heaping dose of groove. Building to an ecstatic drop, AMÉMÉ collides two unique worlds with Afro influence and funky house.
On the other hand, "Torero" pairs bold brass instruments with punchy percussion and organic vocal samples to deliver a breezy dancefloor heater. Tailor-made for the summer season, the track effortlessly encapsulates the carefree vibrancy of AMÉMÉ's music.
In other AMÉMÉ news, the West African recently dropped "Wild Animal" via One People, an offshoot of Defected Records. Another big release came last month with "Never," which came out on Gorgon City's imprint, REALM.
The Afro-house trailblazer has also been fleshing out his "One Tribe" event series. The brand is set to host their second residency installation at Amsterdam's Shelter, on June 22nd after a riveting debut. Tickets are available here.
