Globally well-known Danish audio company AIAIAI is highlighting Los Angeles’s robust music scene by collaborating with creative collective and lifestyle brand Brain Dead. Reaching the common strength of their cultural credentials and aesthetic sensitivities, the two businesses are launching a limited number of co-created AIAIAI Tracks headphones Along with a choice of stores on January 28, 2025, the cooperation will be accessible through both AIAIAI and Brain Dead’s stores.
This partnership sees the design ethos of the Californian brand applied to AIAIAI’s modular audio technology in a true Brain Dead manner. With 40mm speaker drivers for a complete-spectrum sound quality with a tight bass and clear high-frequency notes, the award-winning, supra-aural headphones have a strong visual identity and colorway. The joint design borrows on the ethos of both companies to present something modern and elegant. Unit-4 Studio Monitor speaker units will also receive a very limited run in tandem with the partnership. Offering wireless, ultra-low latency, and uncompressed audio, bespoke design themes from Brain Dead the Unit-4 speakers have been developed to enable studio-level sound quality free from constraints from wires and cables.
Innovative design is at the core of AIAIAI, so collaborating with a pioneering creative collective like Brain Dead is the perfect match for us. We’re so excited to be rekindling our partnership, after first working together back in 2018 to create another bespoke piece of audio technology. – AIAIAI Co-Founder, Frederik Jorgeson
With earnings contributed to the California Fire Fund to directly help individuals affected by the fires, AIAIAI, and Brain Dead will be celebrating with an event and a compilation tape targeted at breaking down barriers inside subcultures of the LA music scene to complete the release. Held on January 25 at Zebulon (2478 Fletcher Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90039), from 12-5 PM, the event will feature live performances by Knumears, Febuary, Sinema, and Kiowa as well as a carefully chosen array of local vendors.
AIAIAI and Brain Dead will be releasing a compilation cassette tape for sale including a couple of the bands performing the event for those who cannot make it to the venue, so enabling those outside of Los Angeles to also help the cause.
