Adriatique X

Adriatique has teamed up with Austrian-Swedish coupling Solique on their new single ‘Changing Colors‘. It features singer-songwriter Also Astir and is out now on X Recordings.

Adriatique and Solique let their percussive-heavy melodic techno develop over the course of five minutes. The duos have masterfully combined intensely rhythmic instrumental movements with airy backings for Also Astir’s dreamy vocals on ‘Changing Colors‘.

The latest addition to X Recordings demonstrates the foursome’s depth as slow-burning builds give way to clever breaks, all while maintaining a steady tempo to move dancefloors far and wide.

The artists: Adriatique

Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, two Zürich-based creatives, have made a name for themselves with their avant-garde sound and artwork.

Adriatique has built a reputation for itself over the past decade with captivating releases on Afterlife, Rose Avenue, and Diynamic, as well as remixes of RÜFUS DU SOL, Swedish House Mafia, and The Weeknd.

Adriatique debuted their new label imprint X Recordings in 2023 with ‘The Future Is Unknown’. ‘Changing Colors’ is Adriatique’s fourth album on X Recordings, following her collaboration Horizon EP with Undercatt and ‘The Echo’ with The Element MT.

Solique

Julien and Can, who were born in Austria and Sweden, are based in Germany and have garnered prominence in the underground dance scene. Drawing inspiration from 90s dance and techno, they’ve developed a hypnotic and introspective sound characterized by intricate rhythms, pulsing basslines, and evocative melodies. Dixon, Black Coffee, and Agoria have all supported their Innervisions, LIFEFORMS, Applied Magic, and MoBlack releases.

Solique will join Adriatique for their forthcoming Adriatique presents X live show at OFFSónar in Barcelona on June 13.

Adriatique and Solique’s new track, ‘Changing Colors‘, featuring Also Astir, is now available on all platforms.
