Nicky Romero continues his hot streak, dropping another highly anticipated single, “Out of Control.” Teaming up with Italian-Swiss DJ/Producer EDX, “Out of Control” sees Nicky return to his more club-oriented, progressive sound he’s been pursuing lately. As far as I can tell, this is the first collab between the two producers, and the results can’t be argued with.
The track opens up with some light pads and the emotional vocal. The song is about one of those toxic romances that we all have a tough time getting away from.
“My head says I should be leaving.
But, my heart don’t want me to go.
You play me hot and cold like a fever.
And my love runs out of control.”
After two renditions of the chorus, we got the monstrous drop, with throbbing kick drums, a driving synth progression and a groove that is sure to ignite the dancefloor. “Out of Control” has become a mainstay in Nicky Romero’s sets from Ultra Miami through to Tomorrowland. Now, the track is available to everyone.
