  • There’s a FISHER x Jennifer Lopez song: yes, for real!

Award-winning DJ and producer FISHER is working with Jennifer Lopez on a new version of Lopez’s iconic 1990s hit “Waiting For Tonight,” which will set the mood for summer 2024. The song comes out May 3rd on FISHER’s own label, Catch & Release.

What makes “Waiting For Tonight” different from the original Jennifer Lopez hit that became a worldwide hit in 1999? Lopez was nominated for her first Grammy at the same time the record broke into the Top 10 on several Billboard charts and went multi-platinum in five countries, including the UK, Australia, France, and Belgium.

FISHER‘s modern take on “Waiting For Tonight” honors the great original, a song that went beyond music culture at the time and was a turning point in Jennifer Lopez’s already successful career. This version celebrates the 25th anniversary of its release in a triumphant way, with a nod to the cultural renaissance of the new millennium.

Waiting For Tonight” is the first big hit for FISHER this summer. Besides his upcoming residency at Hi Ibiza every Wednesday, he just recently stated that he will be putting on his own day festival in London’s Gunnersbury Park on August 9th, with Purple Disco Machine, Vintage Culture, and other artists.

He is also going to be at the sold-out Out 2 Lunch Festival with TEG Live and Vodafone in May, as well as the TRIIP Festival Malta at the end of the month. FISHER and Chris Lake‘s Under Construction show will be the main event at Parklife Festival later this summer. It follows their famous sets at Coachella and Hollywood Boulevard last year.
