Wavy, electronic slow jam ‘How Do You Feel?’ is the first official single crafted between childhood friends Frankie Knight and Robert Swaine AKA Submyth. ‘How Do You Feel?’ combines Submyth’s playful basslines and ambient jungle pads with Frankie Knight’s soft keys and lush vocals; reminiscent of Jesse Lanza, FKA Twigs, Ross from Friends and IAMDDB.
The track aims to keep alive conversations on how we can progress society to create a more compassionate and peaceful world. Knight says of the lyrics, “I was trying to address an inner conflict I have between hopelessness and optimism for the current state of the world. I’m asking the question, do we need to start again or can love save the day?”
Frankie Knight’s debut solo album ‘Blue Marble’ (2019) received support from Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music, John Kennedy on Radio X, BBC Introducing, and made the top tracks of the week playlist on Apple Music. The Ink Project collaboration ‘Space Pop’ (2023) received support from Don Letts on BBC 6 Music and Dan Hegarty at RTÉ2, among others. Robert Swaine AKA Submyth honed their sound DJing in clubs around London, sharing bills with Crazy P, Annie Mac and Craig Charles, Jacques Greenes, Orbital.
