[EDMTunes] Cosmic Gate Release First Single Of The Year, ‘I’m On Fire’

The duo are coming on strong this year with the delivery of a brand-new artist album.

Grammy-nominated Dance duo Cosmic Gate made the news again, as they’ve hit the world with their latest single, ‘I’m On Fire’, featuring vocals courtesy of James French. This release packs a bit more than just a single punch, though: Nic and Bossi are starting to materialise the arrival of their next long-play, Perspectives, which will unfold in three distinct EPs, beginning with Perspectives EP 1, scheduled for release this March 28th, amidst the busy Miami Music Week.

Just like the Materia albums back in the day (what a time that was for music by the way), Perspectives will allow listeners to experience the album’s evolution as each EP contributes to the complete narrative, instead of chugging the entire piece in one go. This approach breaks the standard pattern, yes, but it still retains that story-driven essence of Cosmic Gate’s.

For over two and a half decades Cosmic Gate have remained at the vanguard of Electronic music. From classic, genre-defining hits such as ‘The Drums’ and ‘Exploration of Space’ to their recent two-part album MOSAIIK, they’ve kept themselves active members of the Dance scene. They’ve played all over the world and worked with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and ATB, just to mention a minuscule few.

‘I’m On Fire’

‘I’m On Fire’ seamlessly pairs elements of Trance, Progressive House, and Melodic Techno, nodding towards the duo’s ability to innovate regardless of time and age. Large synth voicings, ethereal vocals coming from James French, and hard-hitting drum patterns converge for a track that embodies the true definition of its title.

This release marks their first track of 2025, and also a reunion with James French following their 2024 ‘Take Me’. Perspectives EP 1 will feature five tracks, including ‘I’m On Fire’, ‘Take Me’, and ‘Brave’, alongside two previously unreleased Cosmic Gate productions.
