Those who have been toΒ EDC Las VegasΒ know it's not just a music festivalβ€”it's a canvas for memories.

The concrete ofΒ the Las Vegas Motor SpeedwayΒ transforms into a mosaic for self-expression each May.Β Here, worries and burdens shed like snakeskin, replaced by a shared heartbeat soundtracked by the very best in electronic dance music.

And if you've been there, you can attest there aren't many festivals on earth where the euphoria is this palpable. The air itself thickens with the collective energy of thousands as EDC's grounds transform into a patchwork of palpitating rave culture, individuality melting away with the sweat.

EDC returns to Las Vegas from May 17-19 with a scintillating lineup and big changes to the festival's layout. But before we enter the technicolor dreamworld of EDC once more, we're highlighting five artists you cannot miss at this year's festival in Sin City.

    Kasablanca

After revealing a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis in January, Micky Kasablanca of the Kasablanca duo is now in remission and performing melodic miracles on the world's biggest stages. They're now working on their debut album, so fans attending their EDC set are in for quite a treat.

    Sara Landry

Sara Landry, fans of whom affectionately call the "High Priestess of Hard Techno," stands as a dark horse for EDC's best performance as the genre's popularity continues to soar in the US. Landry, who was recently named to the EDM.com Class of 2024, fearlessly pushes the tempo to the bleeding edge.

    Jon Casey

One of trap's most underrated producers, Jon Casey is primed to tear up EDC with his inimitable blend of thunderous bass and vocal-driven ache. It's a sound to which you can either cry or purge, a unique kind of energy that should translate well in the concrete jungle of EDC.

    Subtronics b2b LEVEL UP

Husband and wife will shred the Speedway when Subtronics and LEVEL UP perform together for the first time. Their rip-roaring dubstep will take over EDC's towering mainstage for a hotly anticipated set that will attract one of the weekend's biggest crowds.

    [IVY]

As drum & bass continues to explode through the stateside dance music scene, [IVY] has emerged as one of the genre's brightest producers. Having rocked many major festival stages and garnered acclaim from BBC Radio 1, she's inspiring a new generation of women producing drum & bass.

"We just need to power through and show men that we are worthy of being here, just as much as they are," she told us in a recent interview.
